On Sunday, November 12, 2023, GOAL hosted its much-anticipated 3rd Annual Drag Brunch Fundraiser at the FOP Lodge 5, transforming the day into a dazzling spectacle of glitz, glamour, and giving.
The event, which ran from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, drew in over 250 attendees, all eager to support a good cause. Tabu in Philadelphia took the spotlight as the Gold Sponsor, with additional support from No Limit Gym, The Balloon Godmother, and Time Capsule Entertainment.
The FOP Lodge 5 was a vision of enchantment thanks to The Balloon Godmother's fabulous decorations that adorned the room and foyer area, creating a magical atmosphere for all in attendance. Time Capsule Entertainment added a unique touch to the festivities, allowing guests to capture and relive the fun and glamour of the day through their innovative services.
The show-stealers of the event were none other than the fabulous queens who graced the stage: Brittany Lynn, Daught Ladell, Emily Valentine, and Asia Monroe. Their electrifying performances kept the audience captivated and added an extra layer of sparkle to the already glittering affair.
The event also marked the presentation of the inaugural award for the Danté M. Austin Memorial Scholarship. This prestigious honor was bestowed upon Sean Hyatt, a deserving graduate student from Drexel University. The scholarship, named in memory of Danté M. Austin, embodies GOAL's commitment to supporting and empowering the LGBTQIA+ community while honoring Danté's life and legacy.
GOAL is thrilled to announce that the event raised over $16,000.00, a testament to the incredible generosity of sponsors, donors, and attendees. These funds will continue to allow GOAL to fulfill its mission of education, advocacy, and community outreach. The Drag Brunch Fundraiser not only showcased the immense talent within the drag community but also highlighted the power of coming together for a meaningful cause.
